You have to, in any society, prove that you are worthy of doing things that require a certain degree of competence and maturity. You can’t drink until a ‘mature’ age. You can’t drive until a ‘mature’ age and even then you have to take a test to be sure you know what you are doing. You can’t just get any job that requires som thought and maturity with out months and sometimes years of training....
Weight
This world supplies its own form,
Don’t think you will add.
If you see me walking
with my eyes to the ground,
don’t think that I am sad.
The burdens I have to bear
are far too much to share,
so skin pigment will not impair.
I look to the ground
not because of the color brown,
but to see my path, what is in front of me
